Getting Started With Moxie Pages

A video tutorial is available here.

  1. First, register for a Moxie Pages account. An activation link will be sent to your email. After clicking the activation link, login to your website's control panel.

The URL for your control panel will initially be www.moxietechnoxy.com/www.yourwebsite.com/admin. You can change this URL to your own domain name by contacting the Moxie Pages Support Team.

  2. After logging into your control panel, navigate to Pages -> Template Library to select a template for your website. Browse through the available templates and select the one you like. You can also send us your own HTML template and we will convert it to a Moxie Pages template. Additionally, we offer template designing services if you would us to create a custom template just for you. To use a custom template, contact the Moxie Pages Support Team.

  3. Next, it's time to create a new web page. Navigate to Pages -> Manage Pages. Click the 'Add Page' button. Enter the name, description, keywords, etc. for your new page and submit the form. To add content to your page, click 'View Page Elements' for your page. Click the 'Add WYSIWYG Area' button. WYSIWYG stands for what you see is what you get. It's a type of text editor that requires no HTML experience. You can create paragraphs of text, bulleted lists, links, and much more with the WYSIWYG editor. When you are finished entering content, submit the form.

  4. Now you need to make your newly created page show up on your website so your visitors can see it. Navigate to Menus -> Manage Menus. You should see a menu called 'Website Menu'. If you don't see it, you can create it using the 'Add Navigation Container' button. Navigation containers (also called menus) hold the links that show your visitors where to go within your website. Click 'View Navigation' next to Website Menu and then click 'Add Navigation'. Enter a name and select the CMS page you just created a few minutes ago.

  5. Finally, click 'Preview my website' in the upper left corner of the screen. You should see your website, including your chosen template and the menu link you just created. You can as many create as many additional pages and links as necessary. Also, different pages within your website can use different templates.

The URL for your website will initially be www.moxietechnoxy.com/www.yourwebsite.com/. You can change this URL to your own domain name by contacting the Moxie Pages Support Team.
